The Philadelphia Mandolin & Guitar Ensemble performs the exciting music of the classical mandolin & guitar. The musical selections focus on a sound where classical and folkloric music meet. Rhythms including rumbas, tangos, mazurkas, polkas, waltzes, tarantellas, marches among others. The library of the ensemble includes hundreds of pieces dating back to 1890 as well as modern compositions. Mandolins, Mandolas, Mandocellos and Spanish guitar create a sound both romantic and dynamic. Join us as we perform the music we love on instruments to which we are dedicated.
